This was about the opening height for the pole vault at the USATF meet.
Sam Kendricks jumps 17’8” and clears the bar by over 2 feet.
After he clears the bar the audience clapped in amazement by the extra height he had cleared above the bar.
He stood in the landing system and raised the UST-ESSX pole in the air like a Spartan with a sword, he thrust it in the air several times.
Sam’s manager asked Scott Kendricks Sam’s coach what is he doing?
Scott replies to the manager and the crowd behind him
“Saying this is what we call selling poles!”
