Spencer is gonna get on 16 foot poles eventually and jump 18'6.
Corey Shank will get a better inversion and get to 16'6, minimum.
Scott Roth will swing with his trial leg straight and get to 18, minimum. Hehe, prove me wrong and go higher boys :-).

and as for me, i only jumped 14 officially in the outdoor season :-(. Although in practice WITH the bar i cleared 14'9. Im optimistic, but with new coaching, new atmosphere, and new people to learn from, id like to see myself in the 15 ranges at least next year.

I dont see Spencer getting on any bigger sticks any time soon. I think that he is just to short to get over the sailpeice on 490 poles. Maybe he could be like Ray Scotten though and go to a free takeoff. That is if Spencer is not already using a free take off. I doubt it though. I see Mike Morrison with the best chance at 18' this year. I also predict him to win Junior Nationals.

from seeing spencer jump he doesnt have to be on 16ft poles to jump 18, to jump 19 probably. I think spencer can jump 18ft on one of his 15'3 altius poles gripping around 15ft. i watched him make 16ft and 16'6 by a good foot on i think a 15'3 pole, then he tried to get on a longer pole and couldnt get enough pole speed.

i wish i could see him in person. from the vid. clips i dont see 18' in 2006. 2007? another story! i know he isnt all that tall , but how fast is he (joe dial type?).

He's pretty fast. The only other event he did this year was the 200m and he ran it in the 22's. During the indoor season he averaged 9.47 m/sec. on his last six strides of his run.

Thats just insane. How tall is he anyways? Remember Joe Dial was only about 5'7" 5'8" he went 5.90 or so right? I KNOW he went 5.50+ in high school

well if you watched spencers videos from indoors he was dang close to making 17'7, nicked it off so i wouldnt put 18ft past him. as far as speed yeah hes blazing, we were at a meet with several college guys, yoo kim, tye harvey etc.. and he looked faster than anyone there. joe dial in hs was 5'8, but in college he was about 5'9. I couldnt tell how tall spencer was because every time i looked over he was standing next to jeremy scott, which made him look 5ft tall. lol. i would say if you wanna compare him to someone use greg duplantis, really short and really fast! kinda runs and takes off like duplantis. i would give spencer about 5'7 but im not sure.
