what were the conditions like? 12'9 seems awfully low for girls that routinely jump over 13'. and the boys seemed high enough.. were they held on the same day?

oh wow. didnt even notice that. wierd. kinda hard to tie for a place when you cleared the bar above your tie.

for those wondering: look at 11th and 15th ties

Please correct me if I'm wrong (because I don't see all the meet results by any means), but I hadn't seen any huge marks like his 17' after that meet for him this season.

I know, but I jumped against him in Arkansas, although he didnt jump very high there, he showed that he had it in him to go high. Its just a big difference, 16ft is what should be a bad day for someone who can jump 17ft. Thats what i think at least.

Spencer has been coming back after an injury at Arkansas State Meet. During warmups he broke a pole and it sliced his hand open. So he didn't get to compete at State meet or Meet of Champions. He was out for several weeks and just started jumping again at the first of June. So he didn't get to jump at all for two or three weeks and I am sure his hand is still pretty sensitive to use while jumping. Spencer has also had several meets at 16'6" before he got hurt. You also have to remember he started out the year with a 14' PR! Leveling out between 16' and 16'6" is not unheard of.... (Also....99.9% of the runways in Arkansas run east west at the end of football fields...so almost every meet is a crosswind!)
