Hey, my name is Lisa and i'm from New York. I have state qualifyers tomorrow and i have a question. Recently i fell on some ice and cut my hand. For practice i've been taping it up so i can hold the pole. Am I aloud to tape it up tomorrow at the meet? Also, i found that i like vaultig with tape around my hand.....is it illegal to wear some form of gloves? We can't find a rule book. THanks -Lisa

If you have an open wound you are allowed to use some tape to cover it. Im pretty sure that this rule exists.

yes, the rule does in fact exist. It does say that if there is an open wound you are allowed to tape it, but you are not allowed to use a glove of any form. I dont know what will happen if your cut is not "open" tomorrow, they'll probably still let you off with it since it is cut and could possibly bleed.

Yeah last year i had an open wound on my hand and I taped it but I think the rule states that you can only have tape covering the wound. So if it is like on your finger tip that is the only place you can have tape.
