2011 High School Indoor Pole Vault Rankings

Unread postby rainbowgirl28 » Wed Dec 15, 2010 5:39 pm

Basically all of the other high school track websites suck when it comes to producing GOOD pole vault performance lists. We have so many club meets and such that produce great marks and always go under the radar.

I don't think I'll have a lot of time for digging up results once January hits, but if you all step up and enter results or dig up results for me to enter, we can make it happen!

How to submit an update to the list:
- Find your school in the system. If you are a coach, school administrator, or parent that has been authorized by the coach, sign up for a coaches account.
- Add the meet to your 2011 Indoor Calendar
- Add results to the meet

If you have results that you cannot upload because they involve athletes from other schools, post the link here and I will try to add them when I get a chance. I prefer to upload full meet results, but I can do PV only. Results need to include date, location of meet (school or facility, city, state), names of athletes, and what HS they go to (even if they weren't competing specifically for that HS in that meet).

If you see a mark in the system that you have reason to believe is bogus, please email me becca@polevaultpower.com with details. We do have some mark validation systems in place, but sometimes a mark falls through the cracks. I want the lists to be as accurate as possible.

Just a personal opinion, i watch the top 20 boys out of that list and i believe that Ian Rock probably has the most potential out of all those lads. Nice run/carry, really high at plant and high knee drive. If he can learn to do the whole swing instead of picking up he will be a good vaulter, also he blocks the plant a bit too. Good run and he looks tall so i recon he has the characteristics to be a great vaulter!

I totally agree, he is a natural athlete. He runs fast (even though he does not utilize his speed yet), he is a good long jumper(close to 23 feet with no specific long jump practice).

Here is a video of him jumping 15´7´´in Fresno (from 6 lefts)
