Jack Whitt over 17' 10"
Jack Whitt cleared 17' 10 1/4" in his first meet of the year, breaking Joe Dial's state record of 17' 9" set in 1980. He had some good tries at 18' 4" but blew his biggest pole out. He was on a 5 meter 14.3 gripping about 15' 7" . I am so proud of him and what he has accomplished. He has gone from 11' 6" to where he is now in two years. He has been a joy to coach.

Congratulations Jack and Tim! What a huge accomplishment, no matter what time of year! You know, you could have waited a little longer to post such a big height until the rest of the country had a chance to gain some ground!
