Questions about some Rules!!

I heard somewhere that if you cleared the height but the pole knocks the bar over, it is a clear and NOT a miss. Is that true?

Also, if two people got the same number of misses, does the 1st place go to the person that started at a later height?

Does someone have a link to the current pole vaulting rules?

Thanks

If the pole hits the bar and knocks it off it counts as a miss. I have seen that on an unusually windy day a lot of times the people running the vault will look for the arm giving a solid effort to push the pole away and have someone catch the pole.

The pole knocking down the bar is up to the official. I think wind blowing the pole into the bar is the only reason the official would consider it a make.

ya the rule is that if the vaulter made a CLEAR ATTEMPT to push the pole away then it counts, because of wind. otherwise, it's a miss. im not sure about the other one though

No!!! That has nothing to do with it. Read this thread: http://polevaultpower.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14335

What height you come in at does not matter. All that matters is misses at the final height and total misses.
