I read an article yesterday in Glamour magazine titled ''give this girl her life back''. If you look her up, she is a beautiful girl with a wonderful physique, but it's sad how she is known for that and not her pole vaulting accomplishments.

She has turned down interviews with CNN and other big broadcasting stations before she hits up the State champs and is stressed out about all the media attention she is getting. She was going to be featured in Sports Illustrated online but they decided not to do it based on the fact that she is only 18 (models have to be 21). Many porn websites have also contacted her and offered her a spot on their websites (all of which she's turned down). I find she is very admireable, considering these days many people are in it for fame and some will let go of their talents in order to just be famous.

What are your opinions on this girl? Granted she is beautiful but I see her as a motivation to pole vault rather than a sexual object (probably because I'm a girl) but in a way i think its sort of good that they pay attention to her because it brings pole vault out of the dark a bit (I cant stand it when people are like ''what's pole vault?'') so the good thing that will come out of this in my mind is that people will know what pole vaulting is...if not pay a little more attention.

Dead Horse? I'm not familiar with the expression but
1. I'm new here
and
2. I'm guessing its been posted already?

Regardless, that was my opinion and I want to know what other people think unless you can find me the posts about it.

I think he is saying the hype is finally dieing down about her, like a lot expected, and she can continue a normal life. Its great that you care like we all do about a fellow pole vaulter, but i think hes saying the best thing for her is to let it go and let it all die down so she can continue her training and life without all the b/s.
The greater the challenge, the more glorious the triumph
