Samuel Ewing, a Freshman at Lake Hamilton Jr. High in Pearcy, AR had a big day in Jonesboro. Sam set the state's over-all best height for a freshman with his clearance of 15'00" at the Bell Athletics VaultStock. He was on a 14'3" 185 lb. Altius holding 13'9".

Team AVC was in full swing as Jason Pelletier equaled his PR with a winning jump of 15'06", Stephanie Foreman made 13'01" and was extremely close at 13'07.5", McKinley Rae PR'd with 10'07" as well as youngsters Kirby Newcomb 9'01" PR and Allison Hunt 8'01" PR.

lol i was just bragging about my 13' PR as a freshman. but i assume hes been doing it since he was like 10 years old. as for me ive never done it before.

He toyed with it in the 6th grade but didn't do it at all in the 7th grade. He moved to my school as an eight grader and I begged him to come out and try it again. He jumped 12'02" as an 8th grader.
