I don't have a news article or link to an e-zine or anything, but I can still type.
Yesterday at Vista HS's annual "Big Dual", my teammate from Rancho Bernardo HS in San Diego jumped a new pr of 12-6. She actually pr-ed 3 times yesterday (12-2, 12-4, 12-6). She ended the meet with 2 solid jumps at 12-8.
Emily's older sister was Kate Mattoon, which I'm sure is a familiar name to many on here. I believe Kate's PR as a senior was 12-6. Her younger sister Emily just did it as a sophomore...yes...a sophomore.
Keep your eye's peeled for her this season, because she's coming for a state title. I'm confident we'll all see some big things in her future.
If you know her and have a way to contact her, make sure to give her a little shout out. She definitely earned a little bit of praise this weekend.

ok... so this took some serious diggin in the DyeStat Archives... but i found it.
I guess we were both kind of right/wrong. I knew she'd jumped higher than 12-06, but you knew she hadn't jumped 13 feet... i guess we met in the middle. Still, 12-09 ain't too shabby. Looks like her sister still has some work to do if she wants to get that Family Record (FR).

Sorry for the guy's comment above me....he is indeed an RB vaulter, however definitely doesn't show the class of one in his posts.
News-
Emily Pr-ed another inch today to 12-7.
She looked great all day, but when it came time for 12-9, the adrenaline-fueled blow thru's got her.
Im telling you guys, this girl is going 13 this season.
