yeah I was a gymnast for 10 years. When I was 10 I won State in California. But I'm not sure if its helped that much with pole vaulting....some days it does...but my bad habits from gymnastics arent that great...

:star: I was in gym for 11 years before I started to pole vault. I love pole vault because it combines everything that I loved about gym: speed, power, going upside down, and getting high! My coach loves it when he's showing me an aspect of the vault and I call it a gymnastics term that looks similar to what he's showing me. Did you know that a good trail leg on the plant resembles a single stag jump/leap?! :D
