Doesn't matter what a "whole bunch" of officials said. That is quoted from the rule book.

And that's what makes it ridiculous to need to make a rule... :no: But there probably should be one made: "Any protective padding secured on the wrist and/or forearm by tape is permissible." There is probably just a little too much room for officials to interpret... Oh well.
