i asked his coach what he was using and thats what he said. he also said that Nico weighs 185

Oh ok that makes a little more sense. He didnt seem real heavy at simplot, can never really tell though.

In the video it looked like he was gripping around 16.00, if that was a 5 meter pole.

Meet record in PV for Weiler

Weiler, a foreign exchange student from Germany who has attended Los Gatos High in Northern California for the last two years, eclipsed a meet record that had stood since 1989. Weiler, who has a PB of 5.34, called the U.S. high school season merely training for the 12th IAAF World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland (8 -13 July).

It IS an essx pole. Go to dyestatcal and then go to one of the photo albums for saturday's arcadia meet and you will see a full pic of the pole. I don't think he has a preference lol, basically whatever he can get his hands on!
