In oklahoma when the school season starts you cannot go out of state without a school coach with you. I know this sounds dumb but it is the rule. If you do and get caught you cannot compete the rest of the year .Our coach will not go to far away meets because of the cost. My dad is paying his way to the texas relays not much cost there ,or i would be at nike indoor. I can only compete at three indoor total and eight outdoor until school is out . I will be at the nike outdoor for sure. jack whitt. Good luck at the nike indoor

Well guys, I'm not sure what they were thinking on this one, but bring your 16'4" vaults because the next bar goes right to 17'0!!
It goes 4" progressions starting at 14'8", until 16'4" then randomly jumps to 17'0. I hope they just missed the 16'8" progression, because not that i dont mind taking a shot at 17' assuming i make it there, but an 8 inch jump is kinda random. Anyway, see you there!
The greater the challenge, the more glorious the triumph

haha, yeah, i think they might of missed the 5.10 mark but we shall see, but who would go 17'2.75 to 17'4.25 to 17'6.25? I mean i get the 17'2.25 but the other one is kind of random, like i don't see anyone going up by only 5 cms, once at those heights because im sure everyone who gets there will want to take shots at the nationals or at least meet record even though they are right there. Im leaving out today. see you there!

especially considering the meet record is 17'5"!!!
Lol i think they are just pissed because this meet is moving to Boston next year, so they want to go out with a bang and mess everyone up.
It should go 17'2.75" to 17'5.25" for MR then right to 17'7" for NR. I'm sure they will clear it up when we talk to them.
Remember last year when the meet directors wanted to go from 17'5" to 17'9" and if Maston hadn't agreed to 17'7" they would have? I remember the Director of USATF coming and talking to us and apologizing. They were measuring the 17'7" after each jump too, not just setting the standards and leaving it. Hopefully this year a lot of that is cleared up.

yeah, we shall see! but regardless it will be fun! people who run the meet will do whatever they want to do whether its right or not, its what they think is right.
im sure who ever is jumping up there,(me still in the mix hopefully) will not jump at 17'4 or 17'6 and either move it up to 17'5.25 and 17'7.
when are you leaving jason?

That's actually not even legal. No matter what set of rules they are using, you can't go from smaller progressions to bigger ones.
But they don't seem to follow any set of rules at this meet so I guess they can do whatever they want

I know it's a pain, but I thought they had to measure before each attempt if it is a record attempt?
