We have hundreds of vaulters in the state during outdoor track. I meant that maybe only 18-30, probably less, make their own indoor season travelling to the available meets.

ok ya that makes more sense. sry i guess i misread your post. ya i wish there was an indoor/winter or fall season down here. im soooooo freakin anxious to jump and i havent found a place to jump at yet.

yeah.....although pole vaulting is getting more attention and is an awesome event.....don't think pole vault will ever become its own in the fall....especially when it is a time for training and stuff, and plus in many areas there is winter track where you can compete and stuff, so there is not a really necessary need for it in the fall...use that time to your advantage and get better......aight...later ;)

your would probly have to choose one season because vaulting all year long at high intensity would probly be bad on your body
too strenuous

When I was in hs in the 70's we had pole vault only meets during the winter. A pv coach at a local college would sponsor them.
As far as your hs doing this, I think your best bet is to try and form a pv club and perhaps have your school become a usatf sponsor and have meets there.

But now everything is about lawyers and our country is turning soft.

Move to Russia.
