Zach Ziemek goes 16'6 to win the Boys 3A championship. He also won triple jump (50'6.75) and LJ (23'8).
Lot of good young vaulters this year. Sophomore Tyler Ginger took 2nd in 1A with 15'0. Freshmen Brandon Tolliver-Goode of Newton took 8th with 14'0.

The future looks bright indeed for the future of Illinois Pole Vaulting. 16 finalists from this year's meet will be back next year. It should be fun watching Mammoser (15'3") and Ginger (15'0") battle it out next year again.

tincup,
I'm kind of envious of you guys in 2A. Lately, it's been much easier to grab a state placing there than in 1A.
Maybe we can petition for Oregon to move up a class.

Looks like Mitch an I (Tyler Ginger) won't be battling it out this year, since the IHSA has moved us up to 2A along with a few other schools. Thanks to the new Classification Policies, we missed the cutoff by 6 kids.
