To Whom It May Concern reference to ESSX Poles:
As a manufacturer of ESSX vaulting poles the measurement of the sail pattern within the pole determines where the label is placed by the manufacture located within the top 3 inches of the pole. For safety reasons some have gone out with the labels at the top and also 1-2 inches down. You will find we have variances but within the top 3 inches.
If the label appears to have been removed and repositioned the pole should be rejected.
We also have found over the years that cutting the length of the pole to lets say 12’4” and then putting a pole tip on the pole it becomes 12’5”. You will never find a factory cut pole length less than the normal sizes, however please allow 1” smaller for those who have had to cut their poles down due to splitting of the butt area.
Anything measuring more than 1” less in length is an altered pole!
The engraved portion of the pole and the embedded serial number must match the label provided on the top of the pole.
We realize that during out private label agreement the private libeler did ship pole without a serial number.
We apologize for this error and hope that these poles may be approved if the weight label and engraving weights match.
