London 2017 PV Preview
London. It may rain. It may hail. It may bluster. IT WILL STORM. PV STORM. I've been in the shadows but you better believe I've been watching. Here's how I see it, and how it's gonna be. Sam "short bag" Kendricks - no travel concerns here for the man with the 15' bag of poles. Kendricks ha...

Re: WIC - Men's Pole Vault
hardflex i saw the video live and let me tell you how it went down... Malte had his long locks flowing like the mighty Rhein over 5.80 but then ran out of steam. My guess is the saurkraut ran dry in the stadium and he packed up his poles in protest. Kudlicka wasn't a favorite but he Czech'd into the...

WIC Women's Pole Vault
While I quite enjoyed the men's preview, I felt we would be remiss if we didn't carefully examine this women's competition. Who do I like? Let's see... you've got: Jennifer Are-you-SUHR you got the training right this year?? - she's looked out of sorts. Did she find some magic in the majestic dry co...

Re: WIC - Men's Pole Vault Preview
wtfisup you bring up some good analysis, but it seems you have forgotten about our little soakin-up-some-rays-all-baby-oiled-up friend down by the Mediterranean! Konstantinos Fillipid-is he serious??? - famous for being able to string together 6 meets in 8 days within 3cm of his PB, you have to like...

Re: 2013 Men's NCAA Indoor Entries
This is going to be a hot one ladies and gents... my 2 cents: Jack (Dont F) Whitt (Dis) - I've heard that when the big yellow pole comes out of the bag the building goes electric and babies cry for their mothers. Andrew "All I Do Is" Ir-WIN WIN WIN - hit or miss... mostly hit... not much m...

Hooker always puts out a mid with two tape marks on either side of the runway, and one in the middle in smaller meets... they check it every jump.

Re: Steve Hooker
Hooker used an 18.30m (60') mid when he jumped 6.06m and became the second best of all time. Have ANY of us jumped 6.06m or coached that caliber of athlete? No. And, let's remember... all of this with fairly average speed data for a 6m guy - 9.2-9.4 m/s... Parnov knows what he's doing more so than a...

Re: Olympics: Men's Pole Vault - Make your predictions!
We've watched all the action this outdoor season, and we now have a grasp on all strengths. The players: 1) Brad Herbert Walker Bush - The dude has the tools and we all know it. He took the PV world for a few rides recently by putting his body 20' in the air in Chula and Jock Grim. I hope the boys w...

Upcoming Meetings
So upcoming we have: London, Schezechzeychkrchzyin, and Jock Grim. What are the predictions for the three last big meetings before the Olympics? Hooker will assumedly jump London and Poland, RL will jump London, the great American hope BW9000 is entered for Poland and Jock, Steve Lewis might jump al...

Re: Dial Athletics Summer Vault - Whitt 5.72i
I'm prettttttyyyy prettttyyyy prettyyy sure 5-6 industrial sized fans lining the runway makes quite a difference. Using the same pole here as in a ripper tailwind at NCAA's with the meet on the line and adrenaline rolling hard. The only difference is this tailwind never changes directions or strength.

Re: Istanbul Predictions
Hello PV World. What a comp. From what I saw, Young SkyWalker looked fantastic all day, but just couldn't get the right pole in his hands at the right time. LZB was unfortunate with bad reconnaissance and looked surprised that this indoor track was "boards free". Bjorn looked for Supremacy...
