Re: CRITIQUE ME !!!!
After the plant, swing your feet to your hands and get in close to the pole. The left arm has to break down in order for that to happen. Keep the pressure on the right hand throughout the whole vault.

Re: Texas Relays
That apparently was another great weekend at Texas. I'd love to get out there and jump. LeLeux should have 14'2 before she graduates, I've never heard of this Reese Watson fella, and Duplantis is a freak of nature.

Re: Toby Stevenson, Life, sacrifice & Olympics
Great video. Toby Stevenson puts things in perspective in this video, like he said, he's been to every level. He is an inspiration for guys like me who are nobodies that want to make it big.

Ah that makes sense, I heard he jumped like 13'6" in high school and then went to jump 18'4" at Tennessee.

Re: Question about "models" vs. just vaulting
Here is the thing I think you and a lot of people are missing, as you start digging or studying your own vault, you start realizing ok I suck at this and to fix this I have to fix the previous step.... You spend a month trying to fix the previous step and can't do it because you realize that the pr...

Re: college interest
Off the top of my head: in the last 5 years Tim Mack, Derek Miles, Jeff Hartwig, Mark Hollis, Adam Keul, Jacob Pauli, Giovanni Lanaro, and Jeremy Scott have all jumped over 5.75m and all of them come from non-BCS conference schools. Tim Mack went to Tennessee which is a BCS school, but I know what ...

Re: Tye Harvey
Here is one he emailed me two years ago when I was experimenting with pole pushing. It is not that clear because of lighting, but you can see most of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zt6o6kLruVo&feature=channel_video_title I saw that video, pretty insane. He's a freak of nature. And atlegu, I...

Re: Question about "models" vs. just vaulting
The Petrov model doesn't require more speed and strength, if it did it would be less effecient. The Petrov model which was founded through a scientific scope and biomechanics was invented to waste as little energy as possible from the very first step all the way until they are letting go of the pol...

Tye Harvey
I realize that Tye Harvey has not pole vaulted professionally in a few years, but I was wondering if anyone had video of him jumping from college or any video of him in his professional career. I have seen a few clips of him vault on YouTube and there are three of his jumps on http://www.stabhochspr...
