Narrow your grip by half.
Start raising your grip a fist at a time until your taking full jumps from that run.
Than add plant.
And cover those standards.

Re: First trainnings
[b]Joker That last post was a little bit of an inside joke. But seriously she is doing a nice job off the ground feeling the up pressure and learning to be elastic. She's leaning right a little and needs to focus on staying centered behind the pole. BTB2 has great examples of sand work in this phase...

Re: UCS Spirit Poles Flex Scale
I can definitely tell you that 12's and 13's are flexed on same scale. As are 13'7" and 14's. 14'7" same scale as 15'. Other than that your on your own. But if you follow this pattern 15'7" and 16' same.

Re: Finishing the top end
Thanks Coachjvinson for the Wooden quote if that was directed for me. First let me apologize for my opening statement, it should have been delivered with "IMHO I think Bubka is rowing" my delivery was not appropriate. My goal was however to argue or better yet to make the point that: Every...

[quote="PVJunkie"]This issue is always made more difficult than it should be. The NFHS, NCAA and USATF rules are the same.

Re: Rule Question: Vaulter loses for coming in early?
The Officials vaulter was not vaulting well and became upset because the height they tied at was well below her personel best. It was felt that they just wanted the event to be over so she wouldn't loose her confidence and have to go through a jump off. The other girl was from another state and didn...

Rainbowgirl28, Hardflex;
That's not the case here.
These coach's know the rules and read up on them every year.
I was just wondering if this is the case in New York State as they stated to the vaulter and her coach that it is the rule in NY.
