Yellow Poles?
A friend of mine called me about 4 brand new Spirit poles last week. He said they looked yellow. I really didn't know what he was describing but after our meet last weekend I am curious about this. All 4 poles were made in the past few months but they look like they have been in my shed for 20 years...

Re: Mice!
Mothballs and Dryer sheets. I assume moth balls will last longer but the dryer sheets leave the pit smelling "fresh". We use both and havent had any mice yet so it could be either one doing the work.

Re: Pit Cover
Sorry Charlie (you oldre guys/gals will get that one) I was not making a negative comment about any particular brand. I was just sharing some knowledge by commenting on your "thinner not as good " statement. In reality the thinner (within reason) viynl is better than a thick. The color is ...

Re: Pit Cover
From my days in the water bed industry. Thicker is not better when it comes to viynl. The industry standard is puncture resistance, typically listed by psi. The thickness gives you the weight but has no connection to the durability or life span. Most thicker vinyls typically become brittle much quic...

Re: UCS/Essx Carbon and an Altius Carbon
OK here is the complete list of the poles I want to get rid of. I would love an "ALL" offer but I am willing to do one at a time. I have had some PM's about 2 or 3 already from my original post but until we strike a deal its first come. Essx Carbon 15/180.4 (15.8) - 250.00 15/180.4 (15.6)...

Re: Installing Standard Anchors
I would use lag shields with lag bolts. That way when you remove the bases you wont have bolts sticking up out of the ground. Our local high school had the bolts sticking up and the grounds crew hit them with a mower so they were rusted and bent. I replaced them with lags and have not had any proble...

Re: HOW many retired vaulters 2 put up a crossbar! video shows 1
I noticed that but it did not seem like anything "special" or that it would speed up placing the bar. I put up bars all the time by myself and just add a small piece of tape where that piece is at and get the same results. If Decamouse is right and its the same thing from many years ago, I...

Re: HOW many retired vaulters 2 put up a crossbar! video shows 1
I watched that video several times looking for the "unique" design and could not locate it. The time it took seemed pretty typical regaurdless of what bar was being put up from my experience.

Re: Important: Latest News about labels
Sorry about that. I guess I confused the rule as a whole with the requirements of how it is displayed.

Re: Important: Latest News about labels
I am not for or against the rule but havent most poles always had a maximum wt rating? I was looking at some of our older Pacer poles (over 13 yrs old) and the tag under the glass says the wt is a max. Heck if I remember correctly didnt the foil tag on the OLD browing skypole (the brown one) have a ...

The poles are in Illinois with a friend of mine. He has access to shipping poles and I do not.
