NE PA ESU all comer meets
Today starts the all comer meets at ESU. For anyone in the area, this is a great opportunity to get some meets in during the summer. They run every thursday, and vaulting starts at 5:45, but I believe warmups are before that. The scoring is broken up into age groups, and the entrance fee is $3. Hope...

What 15' pole to try?
Hey all... I've been jumping on a 14' 160 and 165 (skypole) during the end of the season and am soon looking to go up poles, but as my school only has 2 15 footers, a 155 Pacer III and a ucs 170, I am looking to buy a 15' for my own. I weigh around 145 - 150, and on a good day I blow through on the ...

our freshman has the same problem. In his case one of the biggest problems is that instead of rowing, he pulls his right hand to his chest almost as soon as he's off the ground killing the rest of his swing. Have someone watch ur swing and see if ur right arm stays long during the first 2/3 of the v...

ol guess i'll have to start signing onto msn again :) Yeah I changed a lot over the past week, mainly my pole carry which solved a lot of problems for me. Now I work on keeping it that ay. I started carrying my pol badly again towards the end of the meet, which was prolly why i didn't get 14'6" whic...

What college education. Heh on the way home from states I was talking to my dad about how I have no idea what it looks like to vault from a vaulters view cuz from plant to extension, my eyes tend to close. He has this palm sized digital camcorder, not that great of quality, but we're planning on mak...

There ay go, 12 volts. Would prolly even work on a regular 9V for enough time to get some video. Most things like that have voltage regulators so a 9v might work, just not for a long time. But even if that doesn't work, 2 9v and a voltage regulator circuit (would have the same weight of about 3-4 9v...

Generally a clsoer hand grip can lead to a taller takeoff with both hands further above the head in the plant. A closer grip also can lead to a more powerful swing with more leverage in the swing and pull-through. I forget where exactly I read that, but it was in a discussion where someone started t...

no one's plant and run is perfect, yeah he counts too. Planting without being tall ruins the timing of the entire jump. If the pole is bent too early (taking off under) it will recoil earlier, pulling you up from a lower height, and probably only after you have passed over the box. This causes your ...
