that attempt at 5.90 had some huge height. Is Daniel jumping on Jeff Hartwig's 17 foot long poles (the blue stripes looked familiar)?

If you have a neutral or underpronating footstrike like me, you might consider the Nike Pegasus or--if you're looking for something a little heavier-- the Asics Cumulus. I've liked both of these shoes since they're simple (not gimmicky) cushioning shoes that have average prices.

Ty Barrington

Does anybody know why I could never find him in any college vaulting results this year? I saw him jump in high school and was expecting him to have a huge year.

So if you get rectruited by a school, but aren't quite good enough to get a scholarship, does that make a person a walk on?

I found that back extensions helped with my problems since my lower back was kinda weak. However, you need to thoroughly stretch after you do this exercise since it can make your body too tight.

1. Mack
2. Stevenson
3. Walker
4. Miles
5. Ryland
6. Norberg
7. Hysong
8. Buller

I guess I'm betting on Mack due to his competitiveness and ability to peek at the right time. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Toby broke the ar or wr at nationals or the later this year.

I was able to successfully borrow poles last year when I went to Reno, and I thought the poles that I borrowed were very nice and new. I would recommend using the system in place since bringing poles can be a hassle and potentially very expensive if they break in transit. However, there is a slight ...

I concur. That was the weakest vault coverage I have ever seen. I don't think they even showed the graphic noting Pratt and his winning height of 5.50 for as long as an entire second.

if you haven't already, try holding the longer pole with the same grip (or even a lower one) so that you'll be basically assured of hitting the pit . Then you can be more comfortably raising your grip.

Run Speed

One of my goals for next season is to increase my runway speed. I basically understand how weights and plyo are an important part of the process. However, I am in the dark about what types of running I should do on the track, especially considering that I'm starting so early. Any specific running wo...
