I dont know about titanium , but I my mom had some sort of metal bracelet that she said made her wrist feel better and Im pretty sure its been proven certain kinds of metals are beneficial when worn in jewelry. I know Puma makes some great quality and cheap track and field all around shoes, pretty sure they make them in both guys and girls, I have a pair and they have plenty of heel support/cushion and are very sturdy shoes.

yes weather does affect poles. The colder the weather the stiffer the pole so the hotter the easier to bend, however it does not make such a drastic difference in bend you wont be able to jump. One of the reason Carbons can perform better is that they are less affected by the weather.
