Not blocking, but pushing up with the bottom arm. Create some space from forehead and hand. This guy has a tendency to break the arm in completely. You do not need a huge push to get the pole to bend, a little push will do.

The main reason why you aren't getting into the pit is because there is no drive phase of your vault. If you could put some day light inbetween your bottom hand and your head and begin to push up then you can start moving to bigger poles. 15'6" Jump

I'm 5'10" and 140 lbs. I am 17 and a senior. On these jumps I am on an old 15' 165 spirt holding down about a foot. So about a 13'6" hand grip or so. As you can see, my main problem is me throwing my head back. On a small pole, I don't throw my headback and I have a nicer trail leg. Any su...
