What I did to get better at them was start out with 3 sets of however many pullups you can do in each set at an equal amount. Mine was 3 sets of 4. Then each time you go and are able to complete the set, add one more pullup to either your first or last set (whatever you're most comfortable with) and...

I find that upper body strenght is very important, but it isn't always necessary. If you're really fast you won't have to muscle through to keep a good bend, your explosion will take care of that. It does help, though to have the strength to stabilize a really stiff pole. All muscle groups are impor...

technique, technique, technique, technique. I'd guess for about most males, all heights up to about 9'6 or so can be gotten by maximizing the speed you have, driving the lead leg fwd, keeping the trail leg back, and timing the swing (when your coach wants you to). Also, you have to make sure that yo...

I can't imagine not being very efficient on a 15' pole that's 10 lbs over your weight, but I guess that if you're not pressing into it enough with your bottom hand, you can't load the pole enough. the rest of the energy from your speed is applied to penetration and not height. I probablyc an't answe...

ok um.... azn, rick is correct. I didn't exactly say to toss your head back. imagine wearing one of those big neck braces that stop you from nodding your head or moving back and forth. if you could invert like that, it'd be the correct form. tossing your head back gives false sense of inversino and ...

Okay, all you super experienced vault geniuses try to tell me if I'm wrong: Azn, I'd guess that what you want to do is focus on letting your left (if right-handed) elbow pass through on the inside of the pole (nearest to your body). this will allow you to swing farther backward because you won't get...
