Thats actually not too far off from how my plant actually looks LOL! I take off WAY under and my shoulders are paying the price! That is a really interesting idea though... Develop a pole that would take that sort of deformation... I'm pretty sure it would take a LONG time for the pole to 'unbend' s...

Basically PaulVaulter is on the right track when he commented on the absolute height; The kinetic model doesn't take into account energy applied after (and including) takeoff. I would have to put my vote on the NCAA being Nazi's. They also have that stupid logo size regulation where it can't be over 1 inch wide by 1/2 an inch tall...
