Shoudler Surgery Success Stories.

Hey everyone. Back in April I had an arthroscopic bankart done on my right dominant shoulder due to multiple dislocations and I've been a little worried about the indoor track season. Anyone else gone through surgery and been doing good?

Shoulder Surgery.

In April I had an arthroscopic bankart done on my right shoulder because I had dislocated it several times before. Three months later I have gained about 90% of my motion back however am still pretty weak. Do you guys think I'll be able pole-vault by the indoor track season?

I may have been pole vaulting for only 3 weeks but i can still give some newb but good advice.;) Make sure your arm is close to your body when your bringing the back of the pole up to plant. I always had a tendency to swing my arm up about 3 inches away from my body. This messed me up every time.

Thanks everyone for all of the feed back. Now my only question is the swing up. Does anyone think that my leg is gonna hit the cross-bar on the way up?

Sorry about that. I'm around 5'8" and weigh about 145 give or take 3. My pole is 14' and supports 145lbs. (I know weight might be pushing it but my school doesn't have any other poles stronger than that)

Grip Height?

In relation to how high the standards are set, how high can I grab up my pole? Like say the crossbar is set at 6'. Can I grab 11' up my pole.

In your wise and experienced personal opinion do you think bending a pole that supports 5 pounds less than your weight is okay?

Pole Equal to or Less than Weight.

Do you think this is safe. My pole is rated at 145 lbs. and I weigh about 145lbs. although it rises up and down throughout the day. My pole is about 14 feet long. Also this is my first year so please bear with me.
