Well especially since its summer, its a great time to work on your approach.You pump your pole when you run wich can make the plant very inconsistant (especially when moving to longer poles) So i would suggest tons of pole runs where you focus on keeping the pole still (i know still isnt the correct...

seeing where you land on the pit it would be fine to move up on a couple hand grips on your pole. (gradually of course) also dont lean forward when you run, try to stay nice and tall.

Back in Florida at the Bob Hayse inv. a girl (jumping like 8 or 9 feet) landed on her feet and ended up getting wip-lash and was pulled out of the meet in a stretcher.

Here is one of Wheatlands 2nd year pole vaulter. his pr is 11'6 and is jumping on a 14' 155lbs skypole but holds way down on it.

Any help on what he needs to work on woud be apreciated.
