It should be a great meet to watch, assuming the weather holds up. Also, its not just a meet for elites. It brings big names but I believe its and open meet. I plan on jumping tomorrow unless someone says no. If anyone else in the area wants to jump, I heard, also by rumor, that opening height will ...

The reason you feel like you don't have enough time is because....well...you don't. Well, it's not actually that, rather, you're not GIVING yourself enough time. As mentioned previously by a few of us: to fix that problem, you've got to fix your swing. If you dont have a powerful, straight trail leg...

I agree with everything that's been said so far, except for getting on a smaller pole. The pole you're on is fine, you just need to make sure you're attacking the runway (NOT slowing down) and you'll be good to go. One other thing that I can't stand seeing anyone do: do you have asperatioins to be a...

Any certified athletic trainer will tell you NOT to go from cold to heat directly. The most widely used timeline I've heard is to ice it for the first 48 hrs and heat AFTER those 48 hrs. I don't think it's be a good idea to go directly from one extreme to the other on your body anyway. ****forgot so...

Visualization is a really powerful tool within all....um....life, but especially athletics. For me, I visualize myself completing the perfect vault, everything from walking to the pole tree, the runway, doin my pre jump ticks, the entire runnup with counting, and finally the deed itself. It's scient...

I think most guys on here, when talking about passive phases, aren't actually using the word as it relates to physics. I think most of them, myself included, use it in the way that passive means you yourself are not doing anything active. As for your question, you kinda hit the answer yourself. It's...

Im not sure if it was just an illusion from the low framerate of the vid or not but.... beyond what powerplant said, it looks like you could definitely do a better job dropping your shoulders. I don't mean just moving them back, I mean like, thrusting them back. If you do that, you'll put yourself i...
