Well I'd say the popular answer is gymnastics.... It will help you stay in much better shape for pole vault, cross country can slow your short run down. and in pole vault we only have a short run.... I don't see anyone running from 200 ft. out :P

I know a lot of guys that use creatine for football and some of the guys use it in my poel vault club, it gives you a big boost of energy and I thought it helped out in the jumping. But I wouldn't use it, it can affect you in the long run

The legnth of the pole doesn't matter. In practice we put the bungie at 16' and I get my body over it using the same legnth pole you do. I am also on a pole that's 55lbs above my weight. It's alll technique and speed does help

I know what you mean, it happens to me sometimes. What you're probably doing is thinkin to much and yes you are rushing the vault, you must concentrate on fully doing every step in the vault. It is not that you are not capable of jumping high bars, it's that you must have the right mind set. Listen ...

Do drills to practice getting inverted. Like high bar drills. I think all the drills you're going to need is on pole vault power training log. It's all about drills to get those little things fixed but you can do it! :D

The 13'6 skypole will be stiffer than the 12'4. and the pole is a whole foot longer than the other one. Try the 12'4 one first and if you are blowing thru that than you should probably look for a 13'1 135-40 before going to the skypole. The skypole should be easy to role into tho. Just take it step ...
