Maybe a tree or a post something that is up, so when you jump you don't look at the bar. Second thing is, you don't swing all the way up. You do like the typical beginner thing. ...

ooo. ok. my coach calls it the bubka swing and the rocking swing. He says the petrov is better. In petrov i think you swing like a gymnast when they do a kip. Their body is straight throughout the swing. This probl. isn't a good explanation.

Good workout routine?

Ok, I think my coach is a little crazy when it comes to gymnastics work. I am at their gym more than they are. He has me do the following workout every day. 5 leg lifts swinging on bar w/ lead leg up, while trying to not to brake at the hips 5 leg lifts swinging on bar w/ lead leg up, while trying t...

I don't know if it has to do with a strength difference or anything like that. Does blocking really inhibit getting to vertical or n...

Video Review

Hi, I would appreciate it if someone could review my jumping from my last meet. Starting height was 7ft. I think i need help on how to get my trail leg to stay straight during swing, and how to continue swinging. At 8.5 ft on my last jump i switched poles. but that isn't on the video. I used a 11.5 ...
