i made this transition this year, and i did it with a series of poles nearly the exact same as yours. when you go to the pole a foot longer--the 15 155 would prob be the best pole to start with since its basically the same as the 14 175-- don't raise your handgrip more than 3". I imagine a pendulum. This reminds me of a swing phase with a long trail leg that results from a technically sound runup and plant motion.

When Roth was interviewed at Clovis for a podcast, he said the size of his pole. I'm tempted to say it was a 16ft 180, but if you want to know for sure, you can go listen to the podcast at polevaultworld.com.

I sometimes wear them on bright days so that my eyes can relax and because a lot of pits in texas seems so best east/west. I've never heard they're illegal, though i could see them being banned by an officious official.
