okay, so i finally figured out what my problem is, by the way i did get 8.0 again on monday, and i did 9.0 in practice yesterday, 7.3 at the meet tonight, grrrrrrr, anywho, im holding almost all the way up on the pole because i have enough speed and im not sliding down at all but when i hold higher ...

ahhhhhh, i did horrible last night, i did great in warmups, clearing 9.0 but when we started vaulting at 7.0 i started going off the wrong foot!!! my steps were totally off and i only got 7.3....there goes my 4th place ranking at regionals....grrrrrrr....pole vaulting is frustrating!!!!!

my coach did that when i first tried to bend now im too scared to bend by myself, it think its just an added "aid" and now im dependant on that and im having a hard time trying to bend without him there...

ahhhh, thank you soooo much!!!! practice was soooo good yesterday, im not under anymore and i got 9.0!!!! tonight is our conference and im hoping to set a new PR, thanks again!!!!

So, i should start my run at 40ish? I have a great run when i run my steps back but when i go to vault it changes. Im scared im gonna miss the box so i wait to plant the pole at the last minute....

by the way, i take 6 rights (im a lefty) and im around the 55-60 mark

hey, im having this problem where my step is always under, even when i move my step back, im not sure why this is happening, ive been told that it could be that i plant too early and that forces me to stride out more on my last step but im not sure, but as a result of this im sliding down the pole. ...

my pole is 12'6" and its a 125 (i weigh about 115), im holding about 10 feet up so my coach says that i should vault as high as my top hand but im stuck at 8'6" because my hands slip, does that help any? could it be a lack of strength to pull myself up?
