Festival of Excellence - Johnson, Holiday 4.35m

This meet was held in Toronto tonight, and was featuring none other than Usain Bolt. Unfortunately, it was raining most of the time and the wind was not that great. Very bad conditions, especially for pole vaulters. For your interest, Bolt easily won with a 10.00s with a -0.9m/s wind and after 2 fal...

Re: Pole labels at NIN and NSIC

So, I got the same answer from both organizers. They will use the USATF rule book, in which, if I am not mistaken, there is no mention of any rule concerning the pole labeling. Am I right?
Thank you,

Pole labels at NIN and NSIC

Does anyone know what rule will be applied at the Nike Indoor Championships and the National Scholastic Indoor Championships concerning the label on the poles? Will an athlete be allowed to grip over the weight label, like the IAAF rule permits? Or will taping over the label be forbidden, as in the ...

Re: Men's Final Live Updates - Discuss here only!

I wonder why he kept getting hip-height, yet falling on the bar? Did he pull out a softer pole for the OR? I can't imagine that he sped up his run on his 13th vault. I think that when we saw him discuss with his coach, I understood that he actually decreased the bar depth. If I saw correctly, on hi...

By 14'7, I meant 4.45m judging by her 5.03m jump where she seemed way above her handhold. It could be a 4.60m also (15'1), but she was taking it right at the top, and I don't think many girls are able to take that big of a pole. But with Isi we never know...

In the description of the Youtube video, it's written:

Yevgeniy Lukyanenko clears 6,01m on first attempt with a 5,10m/12.3 Pacer Carbon FX.

(I assume the guy knows what he's talking about.)

His grip height would then be at about 4.95m on his 6.01m jump. That's impressive!
