I jumped against him Hes such a cool guy and a great vaulter. He encouraged me even though we were fighting for 1st.

Ive heard the Pole Vault City one is really good. Several very good vaulters went there. Not to mention the NTC has a really nice facility

Well if you are jumping 12' gripping 13' then you do not need to go up in poles yet (lenghtwise). As APKpolevaulter said you want to get back into your rockback so you can push off the top of the pole and jump at least 14' gripping 13' I know this because it is my problem too :( Im on a 13' pole an...

i live in South Fla and i dont think I've ever met a vaulter who i thought belonged in that supposed 35%, altho non-vualters often think that because of the spandex guy vaulters wear sometimes...:-) I live in orlando :D And I am a spandex junkie lol. Im a junior But i know that they are having one this Monday, the Monday after prom haha. Administration says if too many skip then theyll cancel the "senior week". If they did i think the seniors would like have an uprising.

Sounds to me like you just need to work on the rock back and inversion so you will get shot off the pole.

You swing up to inverted position on a highbar. Then you extend your hips and arch your back kind of like you are doing a kip. Then relax back so your butt comes out more. And repeat. Dont know if that made sense
