I finally figured out what that pole I found was. It was just an old metal training pole. We jumped on it a little today, but it was so soft we really couldn't use it. is the metal wraped in a spiral? is it painted black, with a metal buttplug? i know of old training poles made in france like this ...

When does she break her bottom arm in? I've had a few of my kids with the same problem. Can't rotate if the bottom arm never comes in.... this could be the prob. ive seen this alot. the one thing that i can think of is just do millions of 3 step staight pole vaults swinging up and getting inverted....

another thing that ight be happening is that you might be pullin down on the pole right after take off. i know that i have done this in the past and it has caused me to go to the right. pulling down with raise you center of gravity acting like an old metronome. this will cause the pole to move to ve...

i think that the plant should end just before the take off foot hits the ground. i try to achieve a free take off, so finishing the plant at this point would assure the greatest possible angle at take off. there would be no chance of not finishing my plant on time and not getting my arms as high as ...

thanks for clearing up the difference between training and working out. it makes sense to not want to over train a certain thing. your methods certainly seemed to work with lawrence.

that is absolutely amazing. congradulations to Mr. Manson. i was just watching "A Pole Vaulters Dream" and his jump that gave him19 years over 18' is on there. keep on going!

Like Becca said slipping usually comes from gripping to high, try moving ur top hand down @ 3-5 inches and see if it still happens( remember to compensate via your step) Im not sure slow down is the right word, but i think I know what your getting at for your swing.
